He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Joseph Voitus and Susan Julia Struhalla Voitus; his wife Joanne Achimon Voitus; and his siblings, Frank Voitus, John Voitus, Katherine Voitus Gillen, Agnes Voitus Scott and Wilma Voitus Hripko.
He is survived by: his children, Kristine Renee Grogan (Joseph) of Bolivia, NC, Karen Patricia Cody of Bolivia, NC and Joshua Adam Voitus of St. Vincent; his grandchildren, John-Paul Cody of Raleigh, NC, Kara Elizabeth Cody of Raleigh, NC and Maria Christina Cody of Raleigh, NC; his siblings, Barbara Voitus of Youngstown, OH and Thomas Voitus of Carmel, CA; and his friend Patricia Zaccardo (Oliver).
