It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Nance Cartner of Salisbury, North Carolina, born in China Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gardner C. Nance and Dorcas Shepherd "Pete" Nance; her sister Faynell; and her friends, Ed, Cora Shinn and Maudine Duncan.
She is survived by: her brother Ronnie; her stepchildren, John Thomas "Tom" Cartner and Teresa Cartner McCarty (Mac); her cousin Sheila N. White; her grandchildren, Danielle Klum, Justin Klum (Ashley), Kayla McCarty, Ashton White Fairchild (Jayden) and Clay White; Susan Shinn Turner and Andrew Poe.
