He is survived by: his children, TaFaria Johnson (Gregory), Tomica Whisnant (Tony) of Shelby, ShaKoko West of China Grove, Kimshe Reese of Charlotte, DeMisha Byers of Charlotte and Delisa Davis of Charlotte; his sister Minnie Byers of Salisbury; and his aunts and uncles, Shirley Litteral, Lillian Woods, Effie Hill, James Hill and Alton Hill. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
