She was predeceased by: her husband J. L. Turman, Jr.; and her son-in-law Bobby D. Black, II. She is survived by: her children, Karen Turman Starnes Black and Wesley A. Turman (Vicki); her grandchildren, Joseph Starnes (Jasmyne), Sarah Starnes, John W. Turman (Cait) and Nicole Turman Small (Joseph); and her great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Jordyn, Sadie, Riley and Margot.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Carmel Baptist Church (2100 Mooresville Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Rowan Memorial Park (4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carmel Baptist Church, 2100 Mooresville Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.
