With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Daniel Mackey (Salisbury, North Carolina), born in Great Neck, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2026 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Alice Mackey. He is survived by: his son Daniel John (Lori); his siblings, Mary Eibler of New York and Edward (Miriam); his children, Joanne Benson, Patrick, Brian (Amy), Dawn (Tommy), Christopher and Timothy (Kristina); and his grandchildren, Carson, Camden, Brayden, Ty, Leander, Lucia, Lurae, Maisy, Oscar, Lily, Gabrielle, Sophia, Caroline and Lucas.
