He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lee Overcash and Nettie Holshouser Overcash; his son Michael S. Overcash; and his daughter-in-law Lorri G. Overcash. He is survived by: his wife Stamie Weaver Overcash; his daughter Sharon O. Freeze (John); his grandchildren, Ian and Jasey of Harrisburg, NC; his son Darren K. Koontz (Nikki); his grandchildren, Jordan of Richfield, NC and Matthew Overcash (Tiffany) of China Grove; Calvin Dickerson of Salisbury.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (200 W Innes St, Salisbury, NC 28144). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimers/Dementia Research, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215 or to the St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 200 W. Innes Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
