She was predeceased by: her parents, Fannie Hart and Howard Hart; her husband Joseph A. Barber; her daughter Patricia Barber Vaughan; and her siblings, Sam, Harry, Donald Hart, Louise Jackson, Ruby Gudger and Margaret Gudger.
She is survived by: her daughter Elaine Trant (Chuck); her sister Virginia Edmiston; her grandchildren, Meredith Brown (Chris), Robert Vaughan (Lauren), David Trant (Kit) and Allison Green (Drew); and her great grandchildren, Logan, Evelyn Brown, Henley Vaughan, Adalyn, Carter and Luke Green.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Prospect Presbyterian Church (9425 NC-152, Mooresville, NC 28115). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
