He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Walter Ritchie Sr. and Opal Maxine Batten; his daughter Stacey Jeanette Ritchie; and his siblings, Barry Ritchie, Patsy Ritchie and Randy Ritchie.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Ritchie, Christopher George Ritchie, Jennifer Ritchie, Amy Fisher (Travis) and Jeremy Ritchie; his grandchildren, Andrea Gardener, Travis Smith, MaKayley Ritchie, Cody Plummer, Justin Plummer, Nancy Tyner, Rachel Ritchie, Christopher W. Ritchie, Akira Jackson, Kairo Jackson, Elyana Fisher and Tovias Fisher; his siblings, Brenda Stirewalt, Steve Ritchie and Diane Hall; and his pet Duke. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Biscoe Cemetery (480 N Main St, Biscoe, NC 27209).
