He was predeceased by: his parents, Alison A Lomax (Ty) and Elizabeth Bogle Lomax; his children, Mark A. Lomax and Cathy L Melchor; and his sister Patricia "Pat" Lomax Eagle.
He is survived by: his children, James Stephen Lomax (Janice) of High Point, David A. Lomax (Amber) of Salisbury and Sandy L Honeycutt (Tony) of Salisbury; his son-in-law Bill Melchor of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Amanda Pennington (Chadd), Jennifer Jennings (Chad), Travis Honeycutt (Gen), Adam Lomax (Carter), Jade Lomax and Dakota H Hellard (Rhett); his great grandchildren, Stella Jennings, Jay Hellard, Layla Hellard and Hudson Honeycutt; his niece Suzanne Eagle (Jeff); and his nephew Chris Eagle (Nikki).
