Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Henry Messer of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 79, on October 17, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Messer and Margie Seay Messer; and his wife Linda Farmer Messer. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Hammill of Richfield, NC, Holly Smith (Brian) of Salisbury, NC and Aaron Messer (Ginna) of Durham, NC; his grandchildren, Logan Hammill, Savannah Messer, Ethan Barber, Luke Smith and Owen Smith; and his brother Vergil Messer (Pat).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the East Corinth Baptist Church (12510 Stokes Ferry Rd, Gold Hill, NC 28071). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
