He is survived by: his wife Margaret Carolyn Darnell Howell; his children, Dwight (Carla) and Jan Garver (Steve); his grandchildren, Ashlinn Trexler (David), Brett Howell (Michele), Angela Garver and Samantha Garver; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Anaston Trexler, Dylan, Katelyn and Morgan Howell; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Darnell, Sr., Nancy Dry and Gerald Dry.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Carolina Cremation Services of Salisbury (650 Industrial Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home (1420 N Main St, China Grove, NC 28023).
