She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Blanche Cline Harris and Joseph Abraham Harris; her former husband Jack Pence; her husband Billy Safrit; and her siblings, Joseph Cline Harris, James Allen Harris, Benny Ray Harris, John Patterson Harris and Julia Ann Harris Swink.
She is survived by: her children, James "Jim" Pence (Ann) of Granite Quarry, NC, Kenneth Pence (Judy) of Richfield, NC, Timothy Pence of Salisbury, NC and Jackie Pence Null (Paul) of Salisbury, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rowan Memorial Park (4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a place of the donor's choice.
