He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Jerome Blalock, Sr. and Nancy Green Blalock; and his brother Edgar Jerome "Jerry" Blalock, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Julie McCombs Blalock; his sons, Jarrett "Link" Blalock and Jameson "Jamey" Blalock (Nanci); and his siblings, Barbara Eidson (Wayne) and Malcolm Blalock (Janice).

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith (100 S Main St, Faith, NC 28041). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
