He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Wellington Burnham and Ann Jaddock Burnham; and his sister Erma Wilkins. He is survived by: his wife Terri Burnham; his children, Gary (Lisa) of York, SC and Kathy Hill of Dallas, TX; his granddaughter Brooklyn Smith (Caleb) of Plano, TX; his great grandchild Sawyer Smtih; his grandchildren, Kevin Burnham of Wilmington, NC and Alexandra Burnham of Raleigh, NC; his sister Vivian Arnold of San Francisco, CA; and his nieces and nephews, Nina Arnelli of San Francisco, CA, Fawn Arnold (Marc Rawer), Tambra Cornell (David) of Bridgeport, TX, Chris Wilkins of Winnsboro, TX and Craig Wilkins (Tracie).
