He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Snider Padgett of Salisbury; his children, John Padgett Jr. (Lisa) of Salisbury and April Davis (Matthew) of Cleveland; his grandsons, Sebastian, Isaiah and Gavin; and his sisters, Jeanette Nelson (Jennings) of Cleveland and Barbara Harmon (Stan) of Statesville.
