He was predeceased by: his mother Paula Sparks Smarr. He is survived by: his father Richard Allen Smarr, Sr.; his wife Samantha Lynn Smarr; his siblings, Richard Allen Smarr Jr. (Larine), Timothy Eugene Smarr, Christopher Andrew Smarr and Tina Marie Green (James Robert); his siblings' children, Emily Smarr, Emma Davidson, Evangeline Smarr, Kathryn Green, Jasmine Green, Garrett McGlothlin and Kenneth Green; his parents-in-law, Virgil Clayton Ashby and Debbie McFarland Ashby; and his sister-in-law Christina Ashby.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Boulevard Chapel (2700 Pennsylvania Ave, Kannapolis, NC 28083).
