It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Lanny McCombs of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on February 26, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen McCombs and Iris Peeler McCombs; and his siblings, Howard McCombs, Bryant McCombs, Lesly McCombs, Norris McCombs and Janice Hatley.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Wright McCombs; his daughters, Delinda Chilson (Wayne) of Salisbury, NC and Misty Knight (Johnny) of Salisbury, NC; his sisters, Maybelle Stone and Diane Bowers (Jim); his siblings-in-law, Ron Hatley, Aliene McCombs and Patricia McCombs; and his grandchildren, Craig Linthicum, Ryan Linthicum, Whitney Chilson, Erica Chilson, Mattie Chilson, Logan Chilson, Peyton Knight and Lilly Knight.
