She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Elizabeth Messick Cranfield and Robert Lee Cranfield; her husband Harold Maurice Massey; her daughter Tammy Gillikin; and her siblings, Carl Messick, Charlene Manning and Alice Kay Cranfield.
She is survived by: her close friend Randal Goodman, Sr. (Richfield); her children, Randal Goodman, Jr., Jeffrey Massey of Rowan County, Shelia Ketterman (Scott) of Bryson City, NC and Janie Hamsey (Phil) of Newport, NC; her siblings, David Lee Cranfield (Donna) of Woodleaf, Linda Fitch (Larry) of Mocksville and Patricia Smith (Buddy) of Salisbury; and her grandchildren, Christa, Carla, Clint, David, Candy, Sherri, Sandra, Stacey, Alyssa and Gianella. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
