He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Hagy Thompson and Malcolm Jamison; and his stepdaughter Evette Stiller. He is survived by: his wife Jayne Phillips Thompson; his children, Carl Wilson of Granite Quarry, April Freeze (Alex) of Mooresville and Malcolm Thompson, Jr. (Paula) of Rockwell; and his grandchildren, David Stiller, Chase Stiller, Caleb Wilson, Carleigh Wilson, Conner Wilson, Eli Freeze, Landry Freeze, Davis Freeze, Gavin Thompson, Zane Thompson, Sierra Thompson and Peyton Thompson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
