He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Henry Kerns Sr. and Bonnie Jo Evans Kerns; his wife Terri Poole Taylor Kerns; his brother Steven Kerns; his parents-in-law, Patsy Michelle Arey and Oddis "Bill" T. Poole Jr.; his niece Mariah Turner; his great-nephew Xander Tucker; and his nephew Andrew Sifford.
He is survived by: his children, Drew Kerns (Sadina), Shadonna Kerns, Madison Kerns (Amer) and Dominique Kerns (Gustavo); his grandchildren, Ameer and Zelmeer Kerns; his sister Sabrina Mabry; and his sisters-in-law, Rhonda Poole Farley (James) and Joy Poole (Greg). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many more cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the The Rec (633 Dunns Mountain Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the children and family.
