She was predeceased by: her parents, Oni Houston and Mabel G. Houston; her brother James M. Houston (Jimmy); and her siblings-in-law, Bruce Mowery and Leslie S. Houston.

She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Edwards; her children, Bryan Edwards (Amy) and Julie Edwards (Clint); her grandchildren, Chase Hovis, Callee and Gunner Edwards; and her siblings, Preston Houston, Louise Cashion, Neely Mowery and Peggy Curlee (Barry). She is also survived by 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
