She was predeceased by : her parents, Glenn Lester Deal and Frances R. V. Young Deal; and her husband James Edwin "Jim" Lyerly. She is survived by : her grandchildren, Miranda Fox (Brian) and Eden Lyerly; and her great grandchild Colson Fox.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (205 St Paul Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146).
