He was predeceased by: his father Win Greer; his wife Irene Greer; his son Michael Greer; his brothers, Max Greer and Robert Greer; and his sister-in-law Carol Greer.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Greer (Debbie) of Salisbury, NC, Sharon McDuffie (Jerry), Debbie Gilbert (William), Angie Ranson (Dallas) and Donna Mabry; and his sister-in-law Charlotte Greer. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
