With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Dane Lewis of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on August 24, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Lewis and Lillian Lewis (Teacutter); his spouse Vikkie A. Oberling; his daughters, Delores Quillen and Leilani Kimberly Hodde; and his brother Marvin Lewis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Lewis of Winston-Salem, NC, Diane Lewis of Vandalia, MO, Dawn Millsaps of Winston-Salem, NC, Denise Lewis-Zumpano of Winston-Salem, NC, Darlene Lewis-Kemp (Terry) of Ranger, GA and Faelyn Samantha Lewis of Hannibal, MO; and his siblings, Floyd "Randy" Lewis of Vandalia, MO, Sherri Lewis of South Pekin, IL, Judy McMackin of Peoria, IL and Rosalind Welch of Vandalia, MO. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
