He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee Honeycutt and Lilly Honeycutt; and his brother Charles "Chuck" Honeycutt. He is survived by: his children, Robert E. Honeycutt Jr. (Amanda) of Salisbury, NC and Meredith M. Gaither (Craige) of Woodleaf, NC; his siblings, Becky Haynes (J. R.) of Salisbury, NC, Johnny Honeycutt (Angela) of Richfield, NC and Sam Honeycutt (Brooke) of Salisbury, NC; his grandchildren, Amber, Brandon and Kaitlyn; and his great grandchild Riley.
