He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Jane Byrd Varnadore and Millard Shue. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Wagoner Varnadore; his children, Robert Millard Varnadore Jr. of China Grove, Donald Ray Varnadore of Salisbury and Anna V. Stoner (Richard Stoner Jr.) of Salisbury; and his half-sisters, Mona Moss of Salisbury and Lorrie Olive of Rockwell. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and over seven great-grandchildren.
