He was predeceased by: his father Vincent Robert Cortese. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Cortese; his children, Megan Powell (Christopher) of Kannapolis and Douglas Cortese (Courtney) of Charlotte; and his granddaughters, Erin Powell, Izzie and Emma Cortese.
