She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph C. Phillips and Nina Strickland Phillips; her husband Frank Jackson Small, Sr.; and her siblings, Janet Crisco, Joe Phillips and Jack Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Frank Small, Jr. (Conita), Kenneth Small and Trish Anderson (Bryan); her stepson Allen Small; her son Darrell Hunsucker; her grandchildren, Natasha Small, Amelia Small, Jack Anderson, Parker Anderson, Luke Anderson and Kortnee Small; and her sisters, Flora Rook, Sherrill Kesler, Betty Young and Nina Parker.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Powles Staton Funeral Home (913 W Main St, Rockwell, NC 28138). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle (3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146).
