He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Ann McKenzie Terry and Linzy Edward Terry; and his son Dennis James Terry. He is survived by: his children, Danny Paul Terry (Diana) of California, Devin Charles Terry (Angela) of Raleigh, Donald Joe Terry of Richmond, VA, Kimberly Sue Rutka (Galen) of Wisconsin and Candice Jo Jakob; and his grandchildren, Samuel Rutka, Katie Frances Enrico, David Jakob, Shannon Jakob, Danny Terry Jr., Ryan Ilene Terry, Spencer Terry, Nicolette Mano and James Terry. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle (3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at the Brookhill Memorial Gardens (8625 US-52, Rockwell, NC 28138).
