She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Nannie Long Barringer; her husband John Ervin Bame; and her siblings, Virginia Miller, Catherine Mahaley, John Henry Barringer, Jr. and George Barringer.

She is survived by: her children, Kirby Bame (Sue) of Mobile, AL and Cathy Williams (Butch) of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Bryan Williams of Wilmington, NC, Elizabeth Jauregui (Joe) of Savannah, GA, Travis Williams (Bekah) of Salisbury, Judy Bame of Brooksville, FL and Charles Bame (Sam) of Mobile, AL; and her great grandchildren, Julianna, Sarah, Zoe, Ann and John.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Lutheran Church (4770 Bringle Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Union Lutheran Church Cemetery (4770 Bringle Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146).
