He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bynum Johnson and Frances Elliott Johnson; his wife Paula Carlisle Johnson; and his sister Karen Johnson Olive. He is survived by: his sister Mary Dunaway (Glenn); his grandson Matthew Hardman; his niece Marsha Rinehart; his siblings-in-law, Bobby and Susan Carlisle; his stepdaughters, Jamie Honeycutt (Kevin) and Lisa Euart; his stepgrandsons, Connor, Chris and Jonathan; his friend Betty Gardner; his aunt Julie Logan; and his pets, Arthur and Bailey. He is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren; numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, Canaan Baptist Church or Old Country Baptist Church.
