She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Daniel Lesesne Smith, Jr. and Clara Ravenel Smith; her former husband Dr. Frederick Gridley Phillips; her husband John Miller Waddill; and her brother Daniel Lesesne Smith, III.
She is survived by: her sons, Rick Phillips (Anna Gray) and Robert Phillips; her grandchildren, Lesesne Phillips (Natalie), Gray Phillips and Ted Phillips; her great grandchild Gray Phillips; and her siblings, Clara Smith Carter and Dr. Ravenel Smith (Sa). She is also survived by nieces and nephew.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Transfiguration (49 Episcopal Church Dr, Saluda, NC 28773).
