With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billie Elizabeth Minter (Sandy Ridge, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 14, 2026 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her son John Willard "J. W." Minter, Jr.; her parents, Henry Bill Claybrook and Nora Gray Claybrook; her sister-in-law Cathy Cox Claybrook; her nephew Andy Claybrook; and the father of her children John Willard Minter.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Thomas "Tommy" (Tracy) and Crystal Gayle Minter; her grandchildren, Justin, William, April and John; her great grandchildren, J. T. and Matthew; her siblings, Charles Claybrook, James Claybrook (Charlotte) and Kathy Ann C. Nance (Jimmy); and her nieces and nephews, Michael (Dana), Matthew, Macon Claybrook and Shayna Gentry.
