With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margie Nelson (Sandy Ridge, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vermie Edgar Nelson "Bay" and LuZettie Nelson; her brother Reverend Billy Nelson; her sister-in-law Zella Craddock Nelson; and her nephews, William DeCarol Nelson and James Anthony Nelson.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Mabe of King, Ricky Mabe of Mt. Airy, Mark Mabe (Suzanne) of King, Barry Mabe of King and Susan Mabe Albright (Dale) of Murfreesboro, TN; and her grandchildren, Cathy Lowe of Mayodan, Joey Baker (Christy) of Walburg, Chris Sawyers, Matthew Mabe, Caleb Mabe, Mark Mabe Jr., Ashleigh Boyles (Jared) of King, Josh Arrington (Christine) of Murfreesboro, TN, Spencer Livingston (Bobby) of Atlanta, GA and Claudia Funderburk of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
