She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Roy of Sanford, NC; her children, Bert of Saint Albans, WV, Susan of Eastover, NC and Mark (Stacey) of Richmond, VA.; her great grandchildren, Laura Jernigan of Sanford, NC and Ginger Moeller (Hank); her parents, Roy Dixon and Cletus Dixon; her daughter-in-law Margie Jernigan (Bert); her siblings, Charles Dixon and Martha Hatch; and her brother-in-law John Cutts.

She and Roy went on several disaster relief mission trips in Mississippi and Florida, together they chaired the local Red Cross blood drives for 5 years and she personally donated over 15 gallons of blood.
