He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hoernle and Clara Manwiller Hoernle; his spouses, Shirley Hoernle and Mary Jean Hoernle; his sister Roberta Miller; and his granddaughter Courtney Crebs.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Crebs (Dave) of Gold Canyon, AZ and David Michael Hoernle, Jr. (Theresa) of Sanford, NC. His sister Kathy Anemone (Russell) of Wilmington, DE. His grandchildren, Cole, Christopher, Michael, and Rosalie. His Great-grandchildren Silas, Lily, Salerio, Landon and Paisley Grace, and many nieces and nephews.
