She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth R. Hallman and Sam Hallman; her siblings, Sammy "Madesto" and Stevie "Romeo" Hallman; and her nephew Chance Hallman.
She is survived by: her husband Gregg Dodson; her children, Cindy D. Haire (Denis J. Haire) of Spring Lake, NC, Tracy D. Gilland (Randy C. Gilland) of Ayden, NC, Samantha D. McNeill (Mark A. McNeill) of Haymarket, VA and Gregg C. Dodson II of Raleigh, NC; her sisters, Kay Davis (Robert Davis) of Lillington and Patricia Baker (Mike Baker) of Broadway, NC; and her grandchildren, Derrick Haire, Preston Haire, Jackson McNeill, Bryson McNeill, Makayla Gilland, Turner McNeill, Calyssa Gilland and Kamryn Lee. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
