With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doretha McLean of Sanford, North Carolina, born in Camden, South Carolina, who passed away on August 27, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Louis McLean "Doc"; her parents, Tom Murphy Sr. and Lillie Lyles; her siblings, Rachael Boykin, Lois Rice, LJ Lee, Curtis Lee, James Lee, Thomas Murphy Jr. and Josephine Howze; and her half-brother Jack Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Terry McLean of Sanford, N. C., Theresa Winchester of Sanford, N. C., Sharon Sutton (James) of Sanford, N. C. and Ermer Gail McLean of Sanford, N. C.; and her grandchildren, Kimberly McLean, Terry McLean Jr. (Kalyn), Latanya Smith (Derrick), Tina Riley (Monterale), Lynn Blue, Calvin Blue (Adrienne) and Dorinda Morgan (Marc). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
