She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ray Wimberly and Estelle Dunlap Wimberly; and her sister Ann Hunt. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Woodrow "Woody" Denton; her brother Ed Wimberly (Deb); her siblings-in-law, Willie Hunt, David Denton (Debbie) and Teena Batson (Michael); her nieces and nephews, Marti Wilson (Jeremy), Bud Hunt (Tiffany), Sean Hunt, Matthew Wimberly (Jennifer), Katie Wimberly, Ani Hunt, Teagan Hunt, Quinn Hunt, Noah Williams, Nixon Williams, Hayes Wimberly, Charlotte Wimberly, Ashton Morse (Libby), Ashley Morse (Lindsey), Iaan Kinney, Isaiah Kinney and Scottie Horne; her great-nephews, Aiden McClelland, Dillon Horne and Ian Horne; and her great-niece Caroline Morse.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
