She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Lynville Johnson and Stella Frances Johnson (Johnson); her husband Theodore "Ted" Landon Thomas; and her brother Bennie Lynn Johnson. She is survived by: her sons, James Garry Ammons (Linda) and Daryl Lynn Ammons (Terry); her brother Larry Jackson Johnson; her grandchildren, Jami Ammons Roland (Will), Morgan Ammons Watson (Paul), Jonathan Logan Ammons (Tiffany) and Jordan Ammons Kent (Peter); and her great grandchildren, Maci Landon Pomeranz, Graeme Thomas Roland of William Frank, Roland, III, Crenden Fletcher Watson, Lawson James Ammons, Sawyer Boone Ammons, Georgia Logan Ammons, Elizabeth Katherine Kent and Wallis Cruz Kent.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Flat Springs Baptist Church (4148 Deep River Rd, Sanford, NC 27330).
