He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Burnette and Rever Crutchfield Burnette; his brother Ralph Burnette; his grandmother Ollie Burnette; and his cousin Dorothy Gales.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Horton of Pittsboro, NC and Roscoe Burnette (Lin) of Mebane, NC; and his aunt Mable Brooks of Durham, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Knotts Funeral Home (50 N Masonic St, Pittsboro, NC 27312). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church (1085 Mitchells Chapel Rd, Pittsboro, NC 27312).
