He is survived by: his children, John Godfrey (Tonia), Melissa McLemore (Stephen) of Sanford, NC, Lisa Nelson (Carmelina) of Sanford, NC, Angela Godfrey (Robert) of Sanford, NC, Tammy Lee (Darryl) of Sanford, NC, Ida Jean Paris (Dominique) of Lexington, NC, Wendy Perez and Randi Leslie; his son-in-law Chris Nelson; and his siblings, Shirley Holder (Wade) of Siler City, NC, Leon Godfrey (Deborah) of Olivia, NC, Eddie Godfrey (Jennifer), Danny Godfrey (Sylvia), Tony Godfrey and Michael Godfrey (Vickie) of Sanford, NC.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Life Fellowship Church (4714 Olivia Rd, Sanford, NC 27332).
