He is survived by: his father Joe Roger Davis; his wife Joyce Womack Davis; his sons, Jerome Womack, Torrice Bell, Tyrone Bell and Cecil Ledbetter; his daughter-in-law Tacosha Jennings of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Tisha, Jaz, Miya, Jersiah, Jaylon, Dajohn, Shakir, Tylen, Kyanna, Tahnice, Znyia, Jyheim, Jaleel, Joseph, Jr., Joshua, Tyrone, Jr., Tyliah and Kayden; his siblings, Robert Earl Davis of Bunnlevel, NC, Patricia Davis of Bunnlevel, NC, Brenda Matthews of Fayetteville, NC and James McDougald of Cameron, NC.; his aunts and uncles, Dorethea Walker of Bunnlevel, NC, Charles Walker (Teresa) of Bunnlevel, NC, Mamie Walker Davis of Bunnlevel, NC, Lenora Davis of Bunnlevel, NC, Brenda McDougald of Fayetteville, NC and Mae Pearl Sheard of Cleveland, OH; and his siblings-in-law, Marsha McIntyre (Larry), W. Lynn Womack (Sheneeta) of Sanford, NC, Waylon Womack of Sanford, NC, Warren Ray Womack (Danita) of San Diego, CA and Wallace Womack (Damaris) of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his 13 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Knotts Funeral Home (719 Wall St, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cameron Grove A. M. E. Zion Church (309 Vernon St, Broadway, NC 27505).
