He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Hicks, Sr. and Mattie Taylor Hicks; his sister Alice Hicks; and his son Johnathan Hicks. He is survived by: his spouse Patrice Dean; his children, Corey Hicks of New York, Glen Hicks of Sanford, NC and Keisha McIver (Stevie) of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Corey, Travail, Damion, Heaven, Anaya, Christain, Cheyanne, Nevaeh and Lyla; and his sister Georgie Sanders of Henderson, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
