Joseph left this world on June 18, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Calendine and Delmer Calendine; and his siblings, Daniel Calendine and Jean Schwing. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Carroll Calendine; his children, Theresa Clark (Lanny), Kelley Desjarlais (Donny) and Jay Calendine; his sister Mary Ann Haut (Jiggs) of Medina, OH; and his grandchildren, Cadi Vines (Erique), Ian Calendine, Daniel Desjarlais, Christian Desjarlais, Jamie Calendine and Jennifer Short. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Desjarlais Home (1901 Beachwood Dr, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332).
