It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Lemons Howard of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Carter and Jeannette Carter; her former husband Roger Lemons; her son Jonathan Kellam; her grandson Lee Kellam; and her stepson Tommy Howard.
She is survived by: her husband Harvey Howard (Tara Plantation); her son Richard Kellam (Odena) of Sanford; her stepchildren, Harvey Howard, Jr. and Terry Howard; her grandchildren, Jonathan Kellam, Dakota Guilliams, Laura Kellam and Dustin Kellam; her stepgrandchildren, Taylor Melton and Davis Melton; and her siblings, Rodney Carter (Diane), Steven Carter, Paulette Worrell (Glenn) of Sanford, Sandra Rosser of Sanford and Mary Yow (Greg) of Sanford. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A reception will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 3475 Henley Rd, Sanford, NC 27330.
