He is survived by: his wife Nancy Thomas Johnson; his children, Rhonda Hughes (Russ) of Sanford, NC and Paul Johnson (Amy) of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Brittany Pope (Kenny) of Broadway, Logan Hughes (Caitlyn) of Clayton and Abby Johnson of Nashville, TN; his great grandchildren, Kennedy Pope, Charleston Pope, Carter Hughes and Levi Hughes; and his siblings, Polly Genthe of Broadway, NC and Clark Johnson of Broadway, NC..
