He is survived by: his wife Deborah Godfrey of Olivia; his sons, James Leon Godfrey and Paul Godfrey (Crystal); his siblings, Danny Godfrey (Sylvia) of Sanford, Mike Godfrey of Sanford, Tony Godfrey of Sanford, Eddie Godfrey (Jennifer) of Sanford and Shirley Holder (Wade) of Siler City; his grandchildren, Taylor Barry (Kevin), Austin Pacheco, Kayla Clarke (Tyler), Braiden Godfrey (Kourtney), Jimmie-Lynn Godfrey and McKenleigh Kay; and his great grandchildren, Paisley, Genevieve and Declan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Olivia Evangelical Presbyterian Church (3363 Olivia Rd, Sanford, NC 27332). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Olivia Evangelical Presbyterian Church Cemetery (3363 Olivia Rd, Sanford, NC 27332).
