She was predeceased by: her parents, Conley Ferdinand Maddox and Irene Fitzgerald Maddox; her husband Sidney Hunter Parrish; her children, Roger Maddox and Teresa Ann Maddox; her grandson Shannon Maddox; her brothers, Therman Cardwell, Carl Kenton, James Williams, Ernest Franklin and Homer Lee; and her son-in-law Alan Spivey.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Parrish (Charisse) and Anthony Parrish (Reggie Bowman); her daughter-in-law Catherine Gilmore (Roger); and her brother Lonnie Carson Maddox. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rogers Pickard Funeral Home (509 Carthage St, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
