He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helene Harriet Sims-Aldrich and Ronald Russell; his wife Sandra Lynn Godfrey Russell; his stepmother Deborah Russell of Charlotte; his stepchildren, Robert Ferguson of Cameron, Samuel Medlin of Asheville, Emma Medlin and Katie Ann Medlin of Cameron; his siblings, Jackson Aldrich of Whispering Pines, Jason Russell (Amy), Allison Aldrich of Whispering Pines and Amy White (Eric); and his grandchildren, Raelin Ferguson and Tommy Ferguson.
